My journey into the world of packaging design began during a summer job in retail, where I stumbled upon a product from Mario Badescu that left a lasting impression, albeit for the wrong reasons. Intrigued by the power of packaging, I took it upon myself to embark on a brand study and reconfigure what they can be.


Why undertake a transformation for such an established brand?
Mario Badescu is a strong and effective skin care brand that provides powerful acne solutions and anti-aging treatments to millions of people worldwide. It has grown a major cult following and is being sold in popular franchise stores such as Sephora, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters. With this big jump to boutique-style marketing, shelf appeal becomes as important as the quality of the product itself. I believe that Mario Badescu is missing out on a large sum of potential revenue due to their outdated packaging not being able to connect with their newest pool of younger, trend-setting clients.
