JUS is a contemporary interpretation of the classic kitchen juicer. The initial task at hand was to revolutionize a kitchen appliance while integrating smart technology seamlessly. While this venture initially took shape as a collective effort in school, I identified considerable potential for post-graduation refinement, particularly in the enhancement of the visual aspects. Everything presented here is my own work.
The disparities in form and values in kitchen design

The juicing trend has been a prominent fixture in recent dietary trends for the past decade. Yet, our research and user feedback have revealed a significant gap between users and their juicing appliances. While juicing offers numerous health benefits, leading to the purchase of expensive juicers by many Americans for home use, a substantial number of individuals quickly disengage from this practice due to the high maintenance involved.
How might we design a juicer that emulates health and the celebration of food through
visual language?

One of the biggest reasons for individuals to stop their juicing routine is time.
We created a mobile app is designed to streamline your daily routine by delivering pre-packaged and sliced fresh produce to your doorstep. Subscribers gain access to this convenient service, with additional features like activity logs and user profiles to help track your progress and stay motivated on your health journey. This app works in tandem with Jus, simplifying the process of monitoring calorie intake.
